Cubist Geisha Bag

I decided to give this contest a shot and came up with this Geisha design. Cubism is a deceptively difficult style, especially if you aren't used to working in it. I chose a geisha as my subject because I thought it would translate well to the Cubist style due to their limited color palette and subtle movements. Capturing the grace and beauty of the geisha in a 2D format is usually very difficult, but Cubism afforded me more opportunity to explore the essence of the geisha and not get bogged down just in how they look visually.
